During his time at University, Jeremiah gained 4 years of experience tutoring diverse groups of students at the local tutoring center, helping them gain crucial skills to complete math requirements.

    Jordan has been tutoring math and teaching music for many years. He started tutoring math when he returned to college at age 24 and his students have made tremendous progress over the years. He is now 30 and has since received his B.S. degree in Mathematics and Economics (double major) from the University of Maryland - College Park. He is qualified to tutor any level of Math, Physics, Economics, or related field up to and including freshman and sophomore college courses such as Calculus I, II, III, Linear Algebra, Physics I, II, Statistics, Probability Theory, and Financial Math.

She is a Washington, D.C. native who received her BA in Psychology from the University of MD and her Master’s in Special Education from the University of Phoenix. She enjoys biking, hiking, and visiting museums. She tutors in Silver Spring, Rockville, Gaithersburg, and the surrounding areas.

    Jordan serves as an overall Academic Coach. He has a B.S. in Spanish from Appalachian State University and an M.A. in Writing from Johns Hopkins University. Louis currently tutors English, Spanish I - AP, Writing, Organization and Study Skills, SAT Prep, specifically Critical Reading, Writing and the Essay. He also specializes in preparing students for the Verbal portion of the Thomas Jefferson High School entrance exam, as he has taught that preparatory section for Fairfax County Schools for eight years.     Jeanine, wife and mother of two daughters (one in the Honors Program at George Mason University), has over 15 years of homeschooling and classroom teaching experience. She worked 4 yrs. in the Fairfax County Schools AVID program, in which future college hopefuls receive accountability and guidance in Socratic discussions, study skills and organization. As a native Spanish speaker, she taught in classrooms, privately tutors, and during Spring break helps teach a VBS program at a Mexican orphanage that her church supports. Jeanine loves teens and the learning process, thriving on that moment when “the lights go on” for students, and they begin to “connect the dots”. Her vision is that students acquire a thirst for learning thanks to an invested and engaging approach to education.

    Stephen is currently the Instructor of Physics at the NVCC Annandale campus and holds a Bachelors degree in Physics and a Masters degree in Physics and Science. He has also taught in the public school system and works with TFS tutoring all levels of math and physics at the middle school through undergraduate level. Stephen resides in Washington, DC, and is available to tutor in the city and in portions of Montgomery County, including Bethesda, Chevy Chase, Silver Spring, and College Park. Stephen resides in Bethesda, MD.

    Peter is a retired Air Force officer who now works as a science and technology transition manager within the National Weather Service. He obtained a BA in Environmental Science with a minor in astronomy from the University of Virginia, and a PhD in Atmospheric Science from Colorado State University. Pete teaches Physics, Chemistry, Earth Science, Biology, Math, Algebra, Statistics, Geometry, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, Latin, History, and English. Pete also has experience helping students prepare for the SAT, ACT, and SSAT. He travels in northern Virginia, including Fairfax, Herndon, Chantilly, Vienna, McLean, Falls Church, Reston, Sterling and Arlington.

    Bob brings a fresh new approach to learning math. As Senior Math Instructor at the Art Institute of Washington (AIW) he has revitalized the math program over the past five years. He leverages 30 years of experience in teaching, training, and mentoring in the military, Information Technology and academia to customize the learning process for each student. Specialties include overcoming math anxiety and test phobias, preparation for SAT/ACT and other standardized tests, and a realistic approach to problem solving. Bob's teaching philosophy is that "it's NOT a math class, it's an ADVENTURE!" Bob lives in Alexandria, VA, and tutors in the surrounding areas.

She develops individualized learning strategies and additional study materials for students who are having difficulties.  She wants them to find value and enjoyment in learning Latin, and helps them to see the connections between Latin and English vocabulary and think about how languages work.     Steve's background in engineering makes him an excellent tutor in all levels of math, chemistry and physics. His BS in Engineering is complimented with a MS in Operations Management. He is especially strong in SAT/ACT Math. He is an excellent listener in understanding a student's concerns and helps students understand the "why" in math and science problem solving.
