About Sofia

“I’ve been working with Tutoring For Success since 2024, and I’ve been tutoring in general since 2019. It’s super common for people to hate math, but it doesn’t have to be that way. In my tutoring sessions, I try to relate math to real-world experiences and use simple language to describe concepts so we don’t get bogged down by mathematical jargon. Math builds on itself, so when people get behind or miss something early on, it can feel impossible to catch up again. I know that’s not true, no matter how much it feels that way, and am dedicated to helping people improve on the ‘basics’ so they can get to the fun stuff!”

Fun fact about Sofia: “In my free time I love to read, play video games, and spend time with my dog.”
